I came here on a weekday to come to breakfast. It appeared to be busy and a pretty good place as the line was wrapped around the corner. It was hard to find a parking space, but I I was able to order the sweet potato pancakes with the side of turkey sausage and eggs to go. When you place your ticket order, you must order it through their website. I must say those were some amazing sweet potato pancakes. My food was fresh and it was hot. The taste and textures are wonderful. The customer service was good as well when I came to pick up my order and called. The food was very filling and the cost was decent for the amount of food that I received, I highly recommend and when in town again, I will definitely come to this sweet spot. I hope you enjoy.
Popular brunch restaurant with lines so consistently that they advertise it. Pancakes are their specialty, so the build your omelette came with a side of pancakes. I got sausage, mushrooms, and goat cheese on the omelette, and there was more topping than egg, so it was a heaping portion. The fillings were toppings because they were on the omelette rather than in it. The pancakes were delicious with this cinnamon butter syrup. Very good satisfying brunch food at a fair price ($16.50 after tax and tip) that's worth a short wait but a not long one. They don't take reservations, so you stand outside in line until they can seat you. They have plenty of tables so they seat people pretty quickly. We waited about 10 minutes before 10 AM on Easter Sunday. They even sell souvenirs.
We arrived here at around 12:30pm on a Friday afternoon to a very short line. Celebrities all love this brunch spot, so we had to try it. It's definitely worth the hype. Best pancakes ever. It's very open with lots of seating inside, so the line moves quick. But we never felt rushed. They were short staffed, but our waitress was still awesome. The diners around us were so friendly too. I can see why locals love it just as much as tourists.
We found this place on Yelp, and the reviews suggested it was popular with locals, a bit off the tourist path. Since our kids love pancakes and waffles, we decided to give it a try. The lines were super long, but the wait went by quickly, and the food came out fast. However, once we finished, it felt like a quick "thank you, sir, come again" experience, so we took our time to slow down a bit. We ordered several dishes: pineapple pancakes, 3 little bears, peach cake, veggie omelette, and steak and eggs. Unfortunately, we didn't know their hash browns included pork, so we couldn't try them. Maybe we missed something there. The steak and eggs didn't quite hit the mark for us, but the veggie omelette was actually pretty good. The pancakes were super fluffy, and we loved their Georgian peach cake! The pineapple pancakes could have used more pineapple; it was only on the top pancake. Their hot syrup was a nice touch, too! The kids enjoyed their mini bear pancakes and the waffles. However, the place felt like a cafeteria, which was a bit of a turn-off. Its ambiance was more like traditional bar vibes. Overall, while we enjoyed some aspects of the meal, we weren't entirely sold on coming back. But you never know! Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 8 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. My reviews are meant to be helpful and honest, and I believe that shouldn't affect my Elite status.
While visiting I came to the Pancake Pantry 2 times. It was hands down the best breakfast I had in Tennessee and tbh the best country fried steak I've ever had. There is always a line outside but the line moves really quick. The service is great and the food comes out quickly! Every single thing I ate was so delicious. Literally the best hash browns & pancakes! Honestly if you visit I 100% recommend you go! Completely worth it!
We loved this place. Not only is the food good, but there's FREE PARKING! The wait is in the outside vestibule. There was a sheet of paper saying so, but we (and other first timers) thought we needed to tell the hostess we at least were there. With barely looking at us and another family, she rudely told us to wait outside. Not even 30 seconds later, she came and seated us. Our server Seth was nice and attentive. Brought coffee refills without having to hunt him down. And we got a couple to go upon leaving. My hubby got a custom omelet and pancakes. I got the small appetite plate. We added on hashbrowns which were the best ever. They aren't the shredded potatoes; almost more like smashed potatoes.
Contrary to the name, you should order the French Toast here, which is very tasty. The pancakes were also very good as was the fresh squeezed orange juice. I also had an omelette, which was fine and really not anything to write home about. There was essentially no wait for us to get into the restaurant and the food came out pretty quickly. The service was good overall and the atmosphere felt like any other brunch spot. Overall, I really liked the food at the Pancake Pantry and would come back again.
The line was a bit long when we arrived (10:15am on a Saturday) but because there was only 2 of us, we got a table after only about 15 minutes. I ordered the banana bread pancakes and country ham, and my husband ordered the Santa Fe cornmeal pancakes. We both loved our meals! The service was good, and we sat outside. I highly recommend this place!
